Garden Feast in Market Greens

A wildly original brief brought the palengke to the garden: serpentine banquet tables ran with lettuces, cabbages, green bananas, halved papayas, and string beans as the centerpiece, punctuated by sunflowers and birds of paradise in stone-filled vessels. The ceremony wrapped guests in a circle of fern, palm, and sunflower ground arrangements, and the couple exchanged vows beneath a windswept crescent arch of baby's breath. Fresh, playful, and unmistakably Filipino.
